Traditional Baked Treats & The Emergence of Deposited Functional

Jessica's exposure to the industry began at a young age via her father and his business.  She loved joining him on customer visits and learning the process of how consumables are produced. Jessica took her interest in food and petfood processes and pursued her B.S. in Milling Science at Kansas State University.  During her college career Jessica immediately recognized the value of practical hands-on experience combined with technical knowledge and sought that out by working at the campus pilot mill and interning during her summers at corn milling facility Lifeline Foods and then at Buhler as a process engineer. Following her graduation from KSU, she began her professional career at Buhler in milling, starting as a project engineer and then quotation engineer. Jessica took this foundation and transitioned into sales for ingredient handling, moving into account management.  It was in her role as an account manager that she recognized her passion of helping customers find bespoke solutions.  Jessica joined the Baker Perkins team one year ago as an Account Manager where she is focused on identifying innovative solutions for her customers with a focus on baked products and extruded food and petfood.
